Urdu1 Titli Drama Review: Hania Amir’s Character Stoops to a New Low

While there are many drama serials based on social issues, we often ignore the little evils that reside in our society. Urdu1’s Titli is based on a true story that aims to highlight the real beauty of the person comes from the inside rather than their outward appearance.

The drama stars Hania Amir as Naila and Ali Abbas as Ahmed. Hania Amir plays a horrid person who is very egotistical and materialistic. She has really proved her acting chops as Naila and performance have been praised by fans.
In episode 5, we see Naila stoop to a new low as she is willing to sacrifice her sister’s happiness just to get even with Zimmi for rejecting her. Zara’s mother is already not happy with the match and argues with her husband to stop the engagement because Zara deserves better. Nusrat (Naila and Zara’s mother) wants Zara to be married to someone as wealthy as Ahmed.
While Zara is happily getting ready for her engagement, Naila instructs her sister to refuse the proposal otherwise she’d divorce Ahmed. Zara, heartbroken and devastated, does as Naila instructed. Zimmi knows that it’s Naila who forced the breakup including her father and brother, but Zara doesn’t blame her sister for it. On top of this, Naila misbehaves with her in-laws yet again and Ahmed doesn’t know how to deal with it.
Oblivious to her sister’s misery, Naila goes to her honeymoon in Paris while Zimmi moves out of the house at Zara’s request.
In another sub-plot, Ahmed’s younger brother Amir is getting married to Kiran, who is a very good natured and a compassionate girl. While wedding preparations are in full-swing, Naila stays aloof of the hullabaloo. Ahmad very kindly asks Naila to be a part of it but she fiercely declines. She also disproves of Ahmed organizing his younger brother’s honeymoon or spending on him ever again.
In the next episode, we see Naila secretly seeing someone and Ahmed confronting her about it. The story is starting to pick up the pace and things seem to be deteriorating between the two. The drama stars veteran actors Abid Ali and Naeem Tahir. Ali Abbas and Hania Amir’s spectacular performance is not to be missed.

Umera Ahmed pens down her first musical telefilm titled Noor

Umera Ahmed pens down her first musical telefilm titled "Noor"

With Asim Azhar and Noor khan in the lead, the telefilm is expected to air soon on Urdu1.

After having written memorable plays like Shehr-e-Zaat, Behadd, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and the recent telefilm Ek Thi Marium to name a few , Umera Ahmed is back with a brand new script for Urdu1 which we are sure will spellbind us yet again . Where we are very excited to see the telefilm our excitement level has only doubled ever since we found out that it’s a musical (first time for Umera) which has the heartthrob Azim Azhar playing the lead.

To cast Azhar makes a lot of sense since it’s a musical and he's a pretty melodious musician himself. Also, the unique thing about this project is that after 25 years we are going to be witnessing a musical on local television.

The musical telefilm is titled Noor and offers the opportunity for an increased acceptability of music integration in television fiction. Featuring five original soundtracks, Noor is a poetic venture in telefilm production.

Alongside Azhar we will also see the gorgeous Noor Khan in the lead, the direction is by Misbah Khalid who is a visionary in obtaining real-life enactments through fictional situations.

If we talk about the story then Noor embarks on a journey of love, passion, dedication, struggle and realisations in life. It is a telefilm that reflects a journey every person has to take. Despite the realistic approach of the telefilm, it offers an escape to the world of possibilities and dreams through music. Noor can be classified as a tale of Love, Fame and Destiny.

Besides Asim Azhar and Noor Khan the telefilm will also feature Samina Peerzada and it is expected to air soon only on Urdu1.

Hania Amir steals the show in Titli

Hania's acting has given life to the drama and we are sure no other actress would have done justice to the role.

The play Titli is one that offers a different perspective on life and we love it's interesting story line. Where we have seen men talk about the kind of girl they want to marry, here comes a drama by Urdu 1 which shows a young girl Naila (Hania Amir), who wants to marry a particular kind of man whose looks are far more important than his personality. And with only one episode down so far, the play already has our attention.

Written by Seema Aijaz , the story is about Naila, who thinks very highly of herself and wants a man who is always praising her beauty. Her parents Saba Faisal and Naeem Tahir adore her to bits and have pampered her a lot.

With Naila and her family, lives her cousin Zamee, and we soon find out that Zamee and Naila have feelings for each other. But only time will tell if the poor boy can handle her nakhras.

On the other side, we have a very rich but down to earth family comprising of Seema Pasha and Abid Ali who have two sons. One of the sons is Ahmed (Ali Abbas), who is intelligent and a good businessman. However, he lacks confidence and is quite shy. Wanting to get him married, his mother sees Naila's picture and decides she is perfect for her son.

But as we said before, Ahmed is not at all sure of himself and feels he’s not ready to get married. Ignoring his views, his family heads off to Naila's house. Naila of course, refuses the proposal since she feels Ahmed is not of her level. Who will end up with who in Titli? Well, we will just have to keep on watching the serial to find out.

Hania Amir is a delight to watch as Naila, as her acting is effortless and we feel no other actress could have performed this well. Ali Abbas is one of those rare and exceptional finds which our industry has, and it will be nice seeing him deal with Ahmed's insecurities.

We will definitely be tuning into Urdu 1 every Friday at 8 pm to see whether Naila accepts Ahmed with all her heart or not .

7 Reasons Why Upcoming Urdu 1 Drama ‘Titli’ ft. Hania Aamir & Ali Abbas is a Must-Watch!

Famous for churning unique story lines and extraordinary drama plots, Urdu 1 is back with a bang! With the entertainment landscape flooded with cliched, run-of-the-mill serials, Urdu 1’s upcoming drama serial ‘Titli‘ highlights a rather less talked about prevalent social issue.
Flaunting the fan favorite, dub smash queen, Hania Amir and the very talented Ali Abbasi as the lead pair, Urdu 1’s drama ‘Titli’, is bound to hit the right chords. Directed by Ahmad Bhatti and penned by Seema Aijaz, the drama narrates the tale of a beautiful but self-obsessed girl (Hania Amir) who has high expectations from life- she strives for perfection and possesses rigid fantasies, matched by none.

Brandsynario had an exclusive interview with Titli’s lead pair and we were completely awestruck by the drama’s theme and fresh take on a dysfunctional married couple! With all the ingredients to keep the audiences hooked, we are more than anxious for the drama to air on our television screens.
Looks exciting, isn’t it? Here are 7 reasons why upcoming Urdu 1 Drama ‘Titli’ featuring Hania Aamir & Ali Abbas is a must-watch:

 1. HANIA AMIR’S SHOCKING AVATAR IN DEBUT DRAMA SERIAL

The rising sensation Hania Amir rose to fame through social media. Rightfully claiming the title of the ‘dub smash queen’, the beautiful and very talented Hania will be making her TV debut with Urdu1’s ‘Titli’ and will definitely shock all her fans!
hania amir
Portraying a completely opposite character than her usual ‘sweet and bubbly’ avatar, Hania as Naila will leave her fans in a state of irrecoverable shock. Proud of her spellbinding beauty, self-obsessed Naila believes the world revolves around her.
Strong-headed and determined, Naila’s world revolves around exterior beauty and altruism. She makes sure she achieves what she sets her mind to. Naila will go to any extent to fulfill her fantasies. But fate has some other plans for her!

2. YOUNG & NEVER-SEEN-BEFORE ‘JODI’

Tired of seeing the same faces on your television screens? Titli brings the very talented Ali Abbas and Hania Amir to share the screen space for the first time. The cutest ‘to be’ couple on-screen will definitely be a reason why this drama is a must-watch.

The girl who wants it all plans to marry a handsome and rich man but ends up getting hitched to an average one. The drama teaches a lesson that outer beauty is never as fulfilling as inner beauty. People must accept what life brings their way instead of trying to write their own fate.

3. CHARACTERS ARE NOT MAINSTREAM

Unlike the cliched characters seen in daily soaps today, characters in Titli are not all mainstream. Hania plays a blunt and shrewd girl while Ali plays a submissive and meek husband. Hania’s evil avatar will definitely make you hate her; at least this is what she thinks!

4. DESI VERSION OF BEAUTY & THE BEAST

With the latest Beauty and the Beast trailers are stills rolling in on social media, Titli will give you an insight into the thin line between outward vs inner beauty. Appearances are often misleading and Titli’s plot highlights how a beautiful looking girl can be completely ‘unpleasant’ on the inside while an average looking man can possess a ‘heart of gold’.

5. THE AMAZING OFF-SCREEN CHEMISTRY THAT IS SURE TO BE REFLECTED ON SCREEN!

Hania and Ali exuded amazing off-screen chemistry! Hilarious inside jokes and on-set tantrums, the two were totally fun to be around. It seemed as if the duo has known each other for years and we are sure the off-screen chemistry will be reflected perfectly on screen too. We just can’t wait for the drama to air.

6. NOT A CLICHED ‘SAAS BAHU’/ LOVE TALE

We are definitely tired of the repetitive drama plots and monotonous ‘saas vs bahu’ conflicts! Indian television has thrust a lot of that upon us already and therefore Pakistani drama industry has become our one and only solace.
Luckily enough, Urdu1’s latest concoction ‘Titli’ promises drama, love, rage, romance, revenge and a lesson for all!
The lead cast talks about the drama plot below:

7. IMPORTANT LIFE LESSONS

Through Naila’s fate in the drama, the makers will be delivering a very important lesson for all the girl’s of today’s generation. Titli is bound to justify how the practical world holds so much more than the ‘fairy tale’ endings they have spun in their heads since childhood. How inner beauty is way more valuable than outer beauty, and how greed and materialism will always bring misfortune and misery for all.
With such an interesting plot, an attractive lead pair, and a captivating storyline, Titli looks like a refreshing dose of entertainment.
